Marketparts Completes a New Fundraising

to accelerate its growth

Three years after its launch, Marketparts, the world’s leading B2B marketplace dedicated to manufacturers and distributors of automotive spare parts, closed a new fundraising of 3.4 million euros at the end of February 2023.

Marketparts is starting a new phase of its development with a new business model: becoming fully transactional.

“We interviewed our most representative customers, in order to better understand their needs, explains Christophe Riberolle, co-founder and CEO of Marketparts. They were unanimous: to go further, we had to move from an intermediation model to a distribution model, offering them services such as logistics or payment terms. That’s how we decided to change our business model.”

Marketparts had raised in September 2019 a first fundraising of 3 million euros from international investors. Building on the success of this first step, the company closed the second fundraising in its history in February 2023. Worth 3.4 million euros, it brought together institutional partners but also equipment manufacturers who believe in the Marketparts model, as well as data players.

“We are delighted to count the founders of the Eucon group, Maurice and Marcel Oosenbrugh, among the new investors of Marketparts”, welcomes Christophe Riberolle, co-founder and CEO of Marketparts.

This new fundraising allows Marketparts to accelerate its global deployment: the marketplace is indeed opening two subsidiaries in March and April 2023, in the United States (Chicago) and in India (Chennai).

More than 15,000 distributors from 125 countries are now connected to the marketplace, with a rate of nearly 80 new account openings every day.

With orders that can reach several tens of thousands of euros in BtoB, Marketparts clearly distinguishes itself from BtoBtoC marketplaces which are aimed at individuals or repairers with an average basket of a few tens of euros.

The marketplace now offers its buyers nearly 26 million offers (out of 10 million references), with a target of 50 million by the end of the year.

“Marketparts is the only global platform for the sale of parts for professionals in a market estimated at 700 billion euros annually. In terms of conquest, our objective is to have more than 30,000 distributors by the end of 2023,” concludes Christophe Riberolle.
